Internal AI assistants for your team
Staff lose hours asking colleagues where things are. An internal AI assistant answers from your own documents, so people get an answer in seconds.
What it is
An internal staff assistant is an AI teammate that answers your team's questions using your own information: policies, procedures, product details, price lists and training material. It is one of the agents we design and build in our AI design and build service.
Typical uses
- "What is our process for X?" answered from your SOPs.
- HR and policy questions, such as leave and expenses.
- Onboarding: new starters get answers without interrupting colleagues.
- Product and pricing questions for sales and support teams.
Getting it right
- Good documents in, good answers out. If your documentation is out of date or contradictory, the assistant will reflect that. We can help tidy it first (we also write SOPs and process documents).
- Control who sees what. Staff should only get answers from information they are allowed to see.
- Show the source. Answers should point to the document they came from, so people can check.
- Know the limits. It should say when it does not know, and not guess.
Data safety
Connecting AI to company information needs care. We cover the key questions in 5 questions to ask before giving AI access to your systems: what it can reach, what it can do without asking, and how you can see what it did.
How we build it
Brief, design, refine, deliver. A free consultation is a good place to work out whether an internal assistant would pay off for your team.

Frequently asked questions
What is an internal AI assistant?
An AI assistant for your own staff that answers questions using your company's documents and systems, such as policies, procedures and product information.
Can it access confidential information safely?
It should only reach what it needs, with permissions that match what each person is allowed to see. We design access carefully and recommend a person approves anything that changes data.
Does it make things up?
Any AI can get things wrong. We reduce the risk by grounding answers in your documents, showing sources, and having it say when it does not know.
What documents do we need?
Whatever your team currently asks about: SOPs, policies, handbooks, price lists, product sheets. We can help organise them first.
How much does it cost?
It depends on how many sources it connects to and how access is controlled. We agree scope and price after a free consultation.
